    Paypal Standard - Not Updating Order Status

    I'm currently using the PayPal Standard IPN module with a sandbox account.

    I've placed an order, gone through the checkout process, submitted Sandbox CC info to paypal, and the order got "processed". The Sandbox even shows the transcation and dollar amount received.

    However, back in the SunShop admin panel, the transaction is still listed as "Awaiting Payment".

    From what I've read in my search in the forums, the module automatically sends the necessary IPN url to paypal, so once paypal checkout is complete, it should return the data back to the site to update the order status.

    Is this true?

    If not, is it possible?

    Yes it is true and you really should not need to test with a sandbox account. The IPN functionality works fine as long as all of the files are in place.

    Question paypal not updating order status

    I've been having the same issue for several months. Purchases and payments are processed, but are not updated in the admin panel as payment received. I haven't changed anything. My site has been live for quite some time. What port or whatever is sunshop expecting to receive the update notification from paypal?
