    Question How about CertifiedHosting.com

Thinking of moving website from godaddy to certifiedhosting.com - Any complaints about using sunshop with certifiedhosting.com services?

    These guys worked for me

Not trying to advertise but Digital Eagles servers worked just fine with the install and running of the site were building it now and haven't had any issues.

    Hosting Recommendation

I have been with In-Motion Hosting for almost a year running SunShop. Fantastic 24 x 7 tech support in laymen's terms and great friendly customer service + no down time

    Lightbulb Network Solutions

Regarding Network solutions, the first post states that Network Solutions "Accounts and PHP functions are limiting, software runs slow" However, after purchasing the software and trying to install it, I found out that was an understatement!

After installing it and getting hung up trying to access the admin panel, I contated tech support. They told me that there was a known issue with Network solutions and I was the first person to sucessfully install it on that host!

After some more research, I found that to use it on Network Solutions (assuming a person was able to get it installed) a lot of code would need to be rewritten to overcome some of NS php limitations. Now I have been happy with my service with NS, and have no complaints with them as a host, but have switched some of my hosting to BlueHost so I can run this software.

I would recommend that the developers put a note on their requirements page indicating the know issues with Network Solutions as well as the other host that they know to have issues (I believe it was Yahoo) so future customers are aware of it.

Switching my host to be able to take advantage of this nice looking software was not big issue , but not know before hand did cost me time and money (in a SSL certificate purchased through NS that now has no use as well as the cost of time trying to resolve an issue that could have been avoided altogether)

    Thank you!

    AquaChaos:

Thanks for your feedback. Also, your certificates are 100% transferable to new hosts. You just need to have the key and cert from your old host and move it to the new one. There is no need to purchase a new cert.

    Another host

Just wanted to give a suggestion on host too..

    I hate the following:
    1and1.com
    godaddy.com
I know there is more corporate rip offs but these guys would take a penny from a baby.

    I like:
dreamhost.com (pricey but there is no limits on anything)
justhost.com (cheap and good, I use them myself)

I dont have my site 100% operative but everything is working so far well.

I've used 1and1.com for years, and several clients have as well, without any issues. They occasionally have performance issues, but generally SunShop and DB applications run pretty well.

I've been with BlueHost for quite some time and never had any problems, so I can also recommend it. The web hosting market is so big nowadays, so many companies offer their services, there's big competition. A friend recommended me this webhosting site - does anybody have any experience with them? Will the software work on their servers?

Has anyone had any experience with ixwebhosting.com? Seems like a good deal ... if it works.

I've been having issues with godaddy ... which I don't believe will be resolved. I've tried 1and1 years ago but their server went bump in the night one night and never came back. I've tried Turn Key Web Hosting years ago but could not afford it since none of their plans are unlimited and what they do offer is over priced compared to others (I'd be more than happy to try again at a lower price and unlimited bandwidth).

    Thanks

Godaddy used to be everybody's favourite back in the day and I did not know they have such a bad rap among the web community. Maybe I should move my website to a different host as well.

    Tina,

If you are using GoDaddy with good results, there's no reason to switch. If, however, you are not getting good service, having high downtime, or technical issues with their hosting, then it's time to look elsewhere.

I wouldn't move though just because some people don't like Godaddy. I have clients using them with good success. Not my first choice, but if the client is already using them, I cope.

    dataweb.pro

Just my 2 cents on this. I have only had 3 or 4 web hosts since 1999 and dataweb.pro for my ss site is the best. They have good prices and the best tech support I've encountered. I might add that pci compliance has passed for the 1st time. I could not pass pci when TWT hosted the site and could not get anybody there to help me pass it. At dataweb it passed the first time.
